  • Caren Rangi ONZM

    Caren Rangi ONZM is a proud New Zealand born Cook Islands Maori who has chosen to be a leader in the field of governance, to help influence decision-making in areas she is passionate about.

    An experience public sector governance practitioner, Caren has been conferred with an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to governance and the Pacific community, and is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Member of the Institute of Directors.

  • Jack Mead

    With a host of award wins already under his belt, 2023 saw Jack Mead secure a finalist spot in the Southern Hairdresser of the Year category at the British Hairdressing Awards.

    Jack is a technical cutting expert, working in the industry since the age of 14. He has managed salons across the globe from the UK to Australia, which has helped him to hone in on his specialist skill, precision cutting as well as working with all textures of hair.

  • Tracey Hughes

    Tracey Hughes; a Hall of Fame inductee, 4 x Educator of the Year, and 4 x Excellence in Education recipient is back again to judge our hairdressing Editorial Images at the 2024 NZHA's.

    Tracey empowers female entrepreneurs to become experts who share their message through guiding them in their positioning and purpose. A role model to many, she is the Founder of Leading Ladies where she brings together a star-studded panel of female leaders to share a raw and honest look at the hair and beauty industries

  • Sam James

    Sam started her hair journey at an exclusive salon in London in 2001, and continued after immigrating to Adelaide in 2004 at 17. After 15 years at that Salon, 10 in management, 5 as an award winning Co-Director, she made the brave decision to build my own brand as Director of SJ Establishment.
    After 5 years, they've quickly become an Award-Winning, go-to Salon for the thriving community of Adelaide - celebrating loyalty, inclusivity and sustainability.

    Sam spent 14 years travelling, Educating and Inspiring – a major passion and driving force behind her success.

  • Cassie Carey

    After beginning her career at a young age, Cassie moved from her small hometown of Boscawen, New Hampshire to New York City to pursue high fashion hair. She is a published session stylist in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, GQ, Elle and Paper magazine to name a few.

    Operating from Kinhouse, NYC; she has a long list of high-level achievements, including:

  • Cameron Mcfadyen

    Originally born and raised in Auckland, Cam is co-owner and operator at The Blacksmith Barbers in the Gold Coast. Operating for 9 years, with 12 staff and growing, trading across 7 days a week.
    Cam, along with business partner Justin also own The Blacksmith Barber Academy; a training facility attached right next door to the barbershop. Here they train and upskill a range of people, from hairdressers to qualified barbers, along with new and emerging barbers.

  • Yuki Kano

    Yuki is originally from Japan and currently living in Sydney, Australia. Starting her journey with Toni&Guy, Yuki quickly realised her passion for cutting short hair. A few years later, she started her barbering journey with The Barberhood.

    "For me, style has no gender. I love to take inspiration from the world of barbering and visualise across gender boundaries when I imagine and create styles for my clients."

  • Rex A.C. Silver

    Rex is a 37+ year hair industry veteran, and since crossing over to men’s hairdressing and barbering 10 years ago, has amassed 7 AHIA finalist nominations in barbering categories including 2 x Best Barber Australia.
    His barber businesses are winners of 9 Westpac/News Corp Best in Business awards, and he has sat on the judging panel at several Australian Barbering Award competitions.

  • Rhys Whitehouse

    A senior barber at Hinces, Shrewsbury UK, Rhys is also currently a member of the Wahl UK Artistic & Education Team.

    With immense skill, knowledge and passion, Rhys has several competitive accolades under his belt, including Wahl British Barber of the Year 2021.
